Wood Industry |
| Wood industry is a newly risen industry of our city in the recent years. There are mainly two enterprises, which are Jiangsu Daya Wood Industry Company and Jiangsu Fumaite Fiberboard Company. The production lines of 200,000 m3 high-density fiberboard of Jiangsu Daya Group was been completed and put into operation on August 29th. In 2003, the man-made board made by Daya Wood Company will realize sales revenue of over 1 billion Yuan. With total investment of 5 billion Yuan, the company will use 3-4 years to build a fast-growing and productive woods base of 2 million mu, 3 million m3 middle& high-grade man-made board manufacturing center, 50 million m2 floorboard and 500,000 sets of furniture. Up to now, the Wood Industrial Park with total investment of 1.5 billion Yuan has been under construction. Jiangsu Fumaite Fiberboard Company is our national key enterprise with new& hi-tech. It has annual production capability of 70,000 m3 strengthened floorboard. The company set up a joint venture with world largest wood industry group----Austrian Kenuosibang Company. The total investment is 105 million Euro and the name is Jiangsu Kenuo Double Phoenix Wood Industry Company. After the two projects are finished construction, Danyang will become the largest wood products base in Asia and form industrial chains of forestation, lumber, floorboard, decorative lumber, glue for lumber and furniture, etc. Therefore, the future of the industry is very promising. The main products are middle-density fiberboard, high-density fiberboard, solid floor, strengthened floorboard and furniture. |
