| Our city is one of the important bases in our country for manufacturing automobiles and motorbikes. In 2002, the sales revenue of spare parts of automobiles and motorbikes industry reached 2.86 billion Yuan. There are 82 companies whose annual sales revenue are over 5 million Yuan and 27 over 30 million Yuan. 90% of the enterprises are in Jiepai Town and Xinqiao Town which are awarded the title of “the Hometown of Automotives and Motorbikes Components”. In recent several years, our city has introduced lots of advanced technologies and equipment and developed a series of high-grade components of automobiles and motorbikes. The main products are noise silencer, hub disk, light apparatus, mud guard, oil box, carriage, mirror, driving wheel, steel rim of motorbikes and automotive undercarriage, door, carriage, axle, inside ornaments, bumper, instrument table in the driving room, hub disk, light apparatus, mirror, line pencils, glass lifter, EAV mud guard, handrail, expanding flakes, oil box and damper, etc. Among them, the products of noise silencer, hub disk, carriage, light apparatus, oil box, rim of motorbikes and automotive bumper, hub disk, light apparatus, inside ornaments, fan and engine have a good reputation in the same industry in the world and take big market shares. Now our city has established stable cooperation relationship with many large motorbike manufacturing factories such as Nanfang, Jincheng, Yihao, Jieda, Yichu, Yamaha, Xindazhou, Honda, Wuyang and with many large automotive factories like the First Automotive Factory, the Second Automotive Factory, Dazhong, Autuo, Yuejin, Jinlong from Xiamen, and Shenlong Fukang, etc. Many of the products are exported to Japan, Holland, the USA and other countries & regions. Which brings foreign capital of US$ 23 million each year. Now our city has annual manufacturing capability of 50,000 three-wheel motorbikes with “ King Cheng” brand for the disabled, 20,000 vehicles with “Hong Yuan” brand for agricultural use and 2,000 big Passengers’ buses with “ King Long” brand. The domestic first-class mold processing center for automobiles and motorbikes has been build and two special markets have been formed which are “ East China Lights Town” and “China Automotive Spare Parts Town” with annual sales income of 1.8 billion Yuan. Automotive light apparatus is the most characteristic and the most famous product of our industry of motorbikes and automotive components. Also, it is the one which takes the biggest market shares in our country. Presently, there are 208 enterprises producing light apparatus, among which there are 7 ones with annual sales revenue over 30 million Yuan. Jiangsu Chenyang Communications Equipment Company is the one from Taiwan with total investment of US$ 10 million. In 2002, the company manufactured 110,000 Fu Kang lights, 230,000 Picard lights, 100,000 Fu Lai’er lights and 70,000 Nanya lights. Jiangsu Changcheng Automotive Company is a joint venture, which manufactured 500,000 lights in 2002 and mainly support the First Automotive Factory, the Second Automotive Factory and Beijing Futian. The main manufacturer of hub disks for motorbikes and automobiles is Jiangsu Daya Yuantong Automotive Components Company. Its annual output is 2.2 million sets of hub disks for motorbikes and automobiles. Jiangsu Daya Technological Company has gone to public and is the shareholder of Jiangsu Daya Yuantong Automotive Components Company. It has the annual manufacturing capability of 350,000 whole-Al automotive hub disks, 500,000 steel-Al hub disks and 300,000 whole motorbike hub disks. Among them, whole-Al automotive hub disks are mainly exported and brought sales revenue of 150 million Yuan in 2002 and is listed at the third place in the same industry of our country. The main manufacturers of automotive inside ornaments and instrument desks are Danyang Xinquan Automotive Inside Ornaments Factory, Jiangsu Oriental Automotive Ornaments General Factory, Danyang Xinchang Automotive Inside Ornaments Factory, Jiangsu Delijia Spare Parts of Automobiles and Motorbikes Company, Jiangsu Hongchang Automotive Ornaments Company and Danyang Automotive Soft Ornaments Factory, etc. Their annual sales revenue are all over 30 million Yuan. Among them, Danyang Xinquan Automotive Inside Ornaments Factory is a large-scale manufacturer of automotive inside ornaments in our country. The polyurethane soft instrument desks produced by the factory has a high reputation in the same industry of our country. Hongyun Agricultural Vehicles Factory is the close company of Yuejin Automotive Group with fixed assets of 120 million Yuan. It has the manufacturing capability of 10,000 agricultural vehicles with HongYuan brand, 30,000 carriages and 5,000 undercarriages. King Long Company from Xiamen set up a company with 100% share called Danyang King Long Automotive Factory within Hongyun Agricultural Vehicles Factory. The new company has annual production capability of 2,000 King Long Passengers Buses, using the undercarriages made by Hongyun Agricultural Vehicles Factory. The mold processing center of Danyang Beiji Automotive Spare Parts Factory owns advanced CAD, CAM and CAE systems, which is at the leading place in the same industry of our country. Jiangsu Chaoli Electrical Appliances Company is a new& hi-tech enterprise of Jiangsu Province, which is specialized in the manufacturing of evaporative blowers and condensing blowers for automotive air-conditioner use and electric glass lifters for automotive doors. In the early 2002, the products passed QS9000/VDA6.1 and realized sales revenue of 80 million Yuan. Among its products, the output of fans are listed as the first place in the same industry of our country. Danyang Changjiang Silencers Factory is the domestic largest manufacturer of silencers for motorbikes. Now the factory has annual manufacturing capability of 2.5 million silencers, 500,000 oil boxes and 50,000 three-wheel motorbikes for the disabled with Jin Cheng brand. Jiangsu Zhenyu Group and Jiangsu Qingyang Industrial & Commercial Corporation are the largest enterprises in the electric plating industry for automobiles and motorbikes of our city. The sales revenue of the two companies were both over 100 million Yuan in 2002. |
