Hardware Tools |
| The industry of hardware tools is the advantageous industry of our city. The main products include twist drills, high-speed steel turning tools, electric tools, diamond saw blades, tableware, locks, etc. In 2002, the industry brought sales revenue of 2.505 billion Yuan with US$ 130 million from export. There were 33 enterprises whose sales revenue were over 5 million Yuan and 13 ones who have passed ISO Certificate. The number of people engaged in the industry reaches 17,500. Now our city has become Asian largest production base for diamond saw blades and drills. The annual output of twist drills reaches 1.6 billion and diamond saw over 38.5 million. The main enterprises which produce twist drills are Tiangong, Feida, Dangong, Fengyu and Dahua, etc., among which Jiangsu Tiangong Company produced 25,000t high-speed tool steel and 290 million twist drills in 2002 which brought sales revenue of 918 million Yuan and tax profits of 134 million Yuan. The manufacturing capability of high-speed tool steel is at the second place in the world. Presently, all the documents needed for going public have been submitted to the State Securities Supervision Commission. The joint venture project of high-speed tool steel is invested by the world largest high-speed tool steel manufacturing company---EARESTEEL who invests US$ 80 million in the project. The output will be 50,000t each year and now the project is under construction. Jiiangsu Feida Group is a private company who mainly produces high-speed tool steel and drills. In 2002, its sales revenue reached 800 million Yuan and profits 117 million Yuan. 95% of the products are exported and the company has set up branch offices in many countries and regions including Britain, Germany, Italy and Hongkong, etc. There are over 60 companies producing diamond saw, mainly including Huachang, Fengtai, Youhe, Zhengda, Donghai and Weiwang, among which Huachang Diamond Tools Manufacturing Company is our domestic largest one manufacturing diamond saw and it has world class Production lines of laser wedding saw made in Germany. The annual output of the saw can reach 7.5 million and they have passed the Certificate of German DSA Safety Standard. 95% of the products are exported to other countries. The main companies producing tableware and kitchenware are Huaxin, Youhe, Huahai and the Stainless Steel General Corporation, whose annual output is 3.6 million sets of high-grade tableware. The main companies producing locks are Jinchang Group, the Second Lock Factory, Special Lock Factory and Huayang Lock Industrial Company, etc. The annual output is 16,000 and the products have been serialized from drawer locks, door locks and locks for bikes to anti-fire locks and theft-against locks. Our city actively encourages businessmen from both home and abroad to invest in Fine drills, film-plated drills, high-grade saw and tableware so as to improve the grade of the hardware industry of our city. |
